This is a horrific crash which took place at the Texas Mile event. We are happy to hear that the driver was fine.

This accident looks like it was driver error, he got off the and then hit the brakes as he deployed the chute. Traveling at this speed you have to stay in the gas then pull the chute and let the chute slow the car down. I have seen NHRA Pro stockers make the same mistake, good to hear he walked away!
